we have a great concern about radiation awareness in dentistry. The popularity of digital x-ray systems has brought with it great apathy and disregard for radiation safety. Being a distributor of radiation monitoring badges, we are seeing extremely dangerous high over-exposures to women of childbearing ages. The State of Maryland has published their findings of dental offices misusing digital equipment and “unnecessary overexposure to the public.” There have been several national digital overdose stories in the media. We would like to deliver an article entitled, “Dangers in the Digital Office,” to address national findings, and recommend safe use of all radiation producing equipment. Would you publication be open to this?
Lastly, our company is doing its very best to reduce our environmental impact and “Go Green.” We have utilized technology, organization, and common sense to lower our overall company impact by about 70%. We would also like to share our, “High Tech Green” story.
